Welcome to my blog!!! We are undoubtedly in an era of Sweet Caroline, girls and guys who wear flip flops to Bruins games, and utter confusion when the Patriots lose a game, because its Tom Brady, and how is that possible, right?!
At sox games, when I hear that piecing voice screaming their lungs out for their "baby boy" (Jacoby of course) I think back to the late 90's when hockey (mainly FOX) had the glowing puck (ya know the blue highlighted puck, which would turn red when it was shot over 70mph) to try getting the pink hats involved...

...Then I realized the sad truth of it all, this is all caused by winning...

Titletown has been blessed with world class talent over the past 12yrs and brought the city of Boston 3 Superbowl Titles (5 appearences), 2 World Series Championships, 1 NBA Title (2 appearences), and most recently the hoisting of sports' greatest trophy, Lord Stanley of Preston's Cup to the Boston Bruins

My cousin would tell you she couldn't even pay people to take her tickets in the early 90's for some of those Patriots games... The Celtics were barely able to pay their rent (yes pink hats, the Bruins own the Garden, not the Celtics), never mind sell season ticket packages before "The Big 3"... Red Sox nation was a real pride until the 2nd championship past by... and the average person couldn't name you more than 3 Bruins players, or know what icing means (most still don't)

What are we left with? The new curse... Pink Hat Nation... A Universal Cross-Sports infection
Now we do have some great pink hat moments like this (I was in NY at this game 4 rows behind these girls actually too...)
And then we have our normal run of the mill pink hat moments like this... (Corner of Yawkey Way & Boylston Street, 2011)
...Welcome to Pink Hat Nation...
Toucher and Rich on the morning show of 98.5 The Sports Hub have been driving home the Pink Hat concept with their weekly "Ask a Pink Hat" plug in which they interview some of the talent that pours out of the gates of Fenway Park post-game with 5 questions about the game they just attended (note I did not say watched)... Check in for those highlights from the Flagship Station and enjoy our other borrowed material from time to time as well

Life Resume: BA Management & Marketing from UMass Lowell 2009, Hockey (goalie age 5-22 now left wing age 22-present), Golf, Snowboarding, Kayaking, Surfing... 13yrs of Fantasy Football, Bruins season ticket holder since 2007 (Sec. 309 Row 10 Seats 1&2), captain of my NESHL men's hockey team - Shenanigans... Traveled to Australia/NZ 2007 to study abroad... Favorite players include Brett Farve, Bobby Orr, Troy Brown, Tiger Woods, and Pedro Martinez
I do have a life, so this will not be up-to-the-minute news or feeds, but it will be a good place for our friends, local teams, fantasy football league, and others to come have a good laugh, do some shit talking, and let it fly... Enjoy the pages, blogs, and news everyone!!!

Jim Doucette
"J-Duce" - "Jimbo Douche" - "The Reggins" - "That Retard's Cousin"

Jim is the sports guru of our staff here... A vault of sports knowledge (aside from basketball, because lets face it, it's Boston's 4th sport even with the NHL in a lockout), a massive fantasy football/baseball/hockey player, leading slugger on his local men's softball team, and if there's someone's name you've never heard of before, Jim knew the guy's birthday a week before you were even asking who is this guy?

Jim is also my go-to Bruin's buddy, as we attend 6-8 games a year together (regular & post season) and he updated me on the latest guys coming up from juniors, Providence, and the draft (and in baseball too)... Jim can hold an argument for as long as he can keep crushing Bud Lights, which normally leads to me getting hammered and losing the argument before he stops... Check for Jim's posts, blogs, and page updates... He will probably be the only one writing real stories here haha
